Dr R Karthikeyan

A distinguished psychologist and corporate strategist, Dr. Karthikeyan holds an M.Phil in Clinical Psychology from NIMHANS and a Ph.D. from the University of Madras. With a unique blend of clinical depth and corporate expertise, he is a respected authority in leadership development, behavioural science, and executive coaching.

Across three decades, he has trained and mentored over 55,000 professionals across manufacturing, retail, IT/ITES, BFSI and other sectors. His corporate journey includes serving as Head of the Murugappa Group Training Centre and as the first HR Manager at Hyundai Motor India, where he led the recruitment and training of the company’s first 2,000 employees.

In 2000, he founded Gemba Management Consulting, which today partners with leading organisations such as ICICI Bank, Siemens, Ashok Leyland, Toyota, Ford, BMW, Nokia and many others, delivering impactful interventions in leadership, culture and talent.

Dr. Karthikeyan has held prominent positions, including National President, ISTD (2016–2019) and President, IFTDO (2019). He is affiliated with NHRD, SHRM, ATD and serves as National Vice President of the Clinical Psychology Society of India. He is certified in ROI Methodology (Jack Phillips), MBTI, Design Thinking (MIT) and HATS assessments, with a strong focus on organisational psychology and workplace mental health.
